April Update: Nexus Returns

Hey there, everyone!

Like I promised, it's April and I'm back in the saddle. I've got to say, these past two months were just what I needed. One of the most difficult parts of the whole experience was having to avoid this site. I checked in once in a while towards the end to make some changes to my profile, which I'll get to in a bit, but other than that, I basically boycotted myself from DA so I could focus on my work. So if anyone has been upset that I haven't replied to your notes or comments, that's why! I've been gone! But now that I'm back I'm going to do my absolute best to catch up on everything I've missed, and I'm dedicating myself to diving right back into the community.

On that note, here are some of the major changes and updates and all of that junk, conveniently separated so you can avoid the crap you don't care about! WOOOOOO!


Profile/Gallery Changes
If you haven't been on my page in a week or two, you may not be in the super-secret loop. But I've changed things around a bit. I managed to teach myself some CSS while I was gone and I used it to clean things up. Everything can basically be found in the same places as before, only with pretty little icons that I made myself in Microsoft Paint (don't judge me). I also made a new journal skin! The changes are still ongoing, too. I'm planning to custom build a module or two and link in my social media pages eventually. Maybe add a GIF or something. So don't be too surprised if my page changes a bit during the summer.

Description Changes
I've decided to go back to my old ways of including little snippets of character information with each commission I upload to this page. I stopped doing it a while back because I thought it was too much work, but I've missed it, and since I want to put more effort into keeping this project strong, I'm bringing it back. As of right now, I've only retrofitted a small section of the Captains. Over the next week or so, I'll finish them up and move onto the Lieutenants, Espada, and Section 66 Agents. The new descriptions will all have hyperlinks to any relevant deviations. They may also include new information about characters that I haven't released anywhere else!

Patreon Changes
For those of you who are interested in my Patreon (thank you from the bottom of my heart, by the way), it's being heavily reformatted. The primary change is going to be a shift from per-character sheet support to monthly support. This is because I'm going to be using that Patreon for all of my artistic pursuits, not just my Bleach project: every single writing project that I have, a potential YouTube project, and who knows what else will all be linked right back to that account. The good news is that it also means that I'll be able to add far better rewards, milestones, and I'll be able to dedicate more time to interacting with my amazing patrons! It's also because, as you'll see below, I've been working on A LOT more than character sheets.

Nexus-Nation Deletion
Nexus-Nation is going to be shut down. Unfortunately, I don't see a need for a self-run group where I basically just upload everything... again. Haha. Instead, I'll be focusing on content here on my main page. Contests (always an eventuality) will also be run through this main page.

The Trident War
It's back! The main fiction that runs as the core thread of my entire Bleach AU is about to begin again, revitalized by two months of work and planning, along with a brand new, spit-shined plot and perspective on the characters I've made. Three chapters have already been written and many more have been planned out, and I intend to make this a big part of what I do on this site. For more information about when you'll be seeing it, look at the upload schedule part of the journal just a few chunks below.

The Hidden Balance
The Hidden Balance, my upcoming Star Wars AU and fanfiction, is also on the roster. I know that I've mentioned it a few times and that you may have seen a commission here and there of the characters involved, but now I'm confirming that it's actually happening. More characters will be introduced and some of them may eventually get sheets of their own! But expect commissions. Like the Trident War, the upload schedule for chapters will be down below.

Character Sheets
Character sheets! The old standby. Alongside changing my page and writing my fanfiction, I've been working on these, too. They'll hopefully be sped up just like everything else over the next few months!

Commissions
Over the past two months I've had a lot of commissions coming in, and I've got a hefty backlog sitting on my computer waiting to be uploaded. Unlike before, when I would basically upload things as soon as I got my grubby little hands on them, I'm now adding commissions to the weekly schedule! There will be a steady stream of them coming in, but not so much that you're, like, omg, that's too much. Plus, this shit is expensive. So I'm going to spread it out.

Weekly Upload Schedule
All uploads will be scheduled for 12AM (EST) of the indicated day.

Monday: Image/Sheet/Primer/Etc.
Tuesday: No Upload
Wednesday: Image/Sheet/Primer/Etc.
Thursday: No Upload
Friday: Image/Sheet/Primer/Etc.
Saturday: No Upload
Sunday: Trident War and Hidden Balance
