Yanagi Tsuyu, the 10th Division Lieutenant and sub-leader of the infamous Sesshi, is known for a great many things: her Kidō, her beauty, her unstable personality, the runes on her clothes, and even her fragmented history. But her most recognizable feature is most certainly her hat. Those who know about Tsuyu are aware that her Shikai has something to do with wind-chimes, yet they can never explain why she wears such a seemingly ridiculous headpiece; it seems to serve no purpose in regards to her powers, despite the similar theme. The truth is that the charms that ride the brim of her hat are actually Kidō-infused batteries. Explosive by nature, she can use them as cluster bombs or to enhance the power of one of her spells. Her entire uniform is lined with these 'chimes', providing her with ample ammunition, and, as a last resort, an explosive finishing move.
